“Nihon” is a generative art piece I have created using Flash and the Hype Framework over the course of a night, originally to cheer up a close friend of mine who is currently residing in Hachinohe, Japan. I’ve put a whole lot of heart in it. I had been so worried about her. I still [...]
Earlier, I’ve written about this brilliant magic trick on Flash, courtesy of Yoz. I got in touch with him then, and asked for a permission to possibly work on a standalone version based on his code (which he gladly approved). The idea was making it easier to use for the less code-savvy developers or artists. [...]
K is a close friend of mine. She’s in her early 20s, and she’s not a designer. But she’s one of the most creative force I encountered in recent years (though she seems to be unaware of it). One thing I love to do with her is chatting while she’s drawing random stuff on sheets of paper. What I do afterwards is I carefully gather her basquiatesque artworks and start studying them carefully…
Coder on my spare time, I stumbled across an excellent piece of code from Jozef Chúťka (aka Yoz) on Wonderfl that – simply put – helps creating the sensation of depth on an image… hence giving the illusion of seeing a 3D instead of 2D image.
I have been working here for a little while and soon it’ll be time to go home to Europe.
This is my second post on the subject, displaying my shoes concepts inspired by Hong Kong cityscape + lights, and Joshua Davis’ generative artworks.
I’m currently in Hong Kong for work. This is my first time here and it’s thrilling. I love the streets, the smells, the tastes, the sights. The city at night looks like an installation of organic monoliths in the dark, with lights painted all over. This sneaker design is inspired by all this, and generative patterns from artist Joshua Davis.
Quick proto I drafted for my homie Gui, addicted to sneakers.
Happy birthday big boi!
I’m sorry I have not posted in a while. Soon I’ll be in between jobs, and thus I have many, many things to prepare.
But don’t worry, I’ll be posting new works soon.
This week’s bag might be the first of a series of designs (I’ll stop when I’m bored, through with it, or when LVMH representatives send me a polite email).
I’m quite sure this isn’t legal, but toying with a respectable brand is so much fun. I’m just getting (re)started.
Aaah… The smell of leather in the morning.
Varnished, multi-layered leather shoes.
Shoes from outer space. Work in progress. Colouring to come soon.
I’ve decided to publish a design at least once a week.
Preferably on (but not limited to) Tuesdays!
Instant bag design. Execution : ~50 mn // Phase 2 – colors
Instant bag design. Execution : 15 mn // Phase 1 – sketch, outlines
It took forever to get my own personal place online. But it’s finally here.
